MIP:

If you have been cited with MIP you will need to do the following as a requirement of the court:

1. Pay fine

2. Alcohol Education Class – The court will give you a list of classes within the community. This class is offered on campus, it’s called CHOICES. Call UNK Counseling Care if you want to take this class 865-8248.

3. Spend two days in jail……..

DUI:

If you have been cited for DUI you will need to do the following as a requirement of the court:

1. Alcohol Education Class-The court will give you a list of classes within the community. This class is offered on campus, it’s called CHOICES. Call UNK Counseling Care if you want to take this class 865-8248.

2. Victim Impact Panel – This is offered in the community in the fall and the spring and is sponsored by MADD. You do not want to miss this when it comes to town as it is only here once every six months. Log onto the MADD website to see when the next class is.

3. Drug and Alcohol Evaluation – (CD Eval) – This is offered everywhere in the community and is normally required when ticketed for DUI. UNK Counseling Care offers these to Students at a greatly reduced rate vs. the community. Call for an appointment to get this done.

4. Group or individual Counseling – This is normally required as well as a result of DUI. Students can have this service done at UNK as well.
